ADD/ADHD

What are ADD & ADHD?

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) is basically the inability to control one's focus.  Someone with ADD is easily distracted and has trouble paying attention to what is happening around him or he becomes hyper-focussed so that he loses awareness of anything going on around him.  Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is ADD combined with the inability to sit still.

You Can Be Free of Your ADD/ADHD Without Medications!

The conventional treatment for ADD/ADHD is medications, most often various forms of amphetamines to help reduce the symptoms and help people control their focus.  Many people don't like the side effects of the medications or don't like being on medication long term so they choose to not treat their ADD/ADHD and deal with their lack of focus.  Many people will tell you that medications are the only choice and for many years I believed that as well.

Now I know that there is real medicine-free relief for ADD/ADHD.  What I have learned is that ADD/ADHD is some people's way of experiencing stress and/or anxiety.  When people are in a life threatening situation they become hyper-alert to what is going on around them, their adrenaline is running high and they notice everything that is going on around them.  This is essential for survival in such life threatening situations.  People who suffer from ADD/ADHD tend to be trapped in this state of hyper-alertness which keeps them from being able to control their focus. Sometimes they have a history of some kind of traumatic event that began their ADD/ADHD, other times it is just the way the person reacts to stress and anxiety.

In either case when you address the stress and anxiety that causes the ADD/ADHD then you are able to feel calmer, more relaxed, and more focused in your life.

My Approach to ADD/ADHD

Through the use of hypnotherapy we can easily identify the stress and/or anxiety that is behind your ADD/ADHD.  Once we identify the root causes we can address them so that they no longer affect you.  Once the root cause is dealt with, the ability to control your focus will return.
