Anxiety Related Issues

What are Anxiety Related Issues?

Anxiety shows up in numerous ways.  It can be experienced as:

What Causes Anxiety?

In general, anxiety related issues are formed when someone experiences something that he is overwhelmed by and does not have the skills to deal with.  When we are faced with something intense that we don't understand or know how to deal with we unconsciously prepare ourselves for fight or flight and our brain releases adrenaline into our system.  Adrenaline allows us to act more quickly and with greater strength so that we can protect ourselves from danger.  When an emotional episode is unresolved for us we stay stuck in this hyper aroused state at some level and we begin to experience anxiety in one or more of the above forms.

My Approach to Anxiety Related Issues

Hypnotherapy is often the most effective tool I use when addressing anxiety related issues.  Through the use of hypnosis we can easily identify the initial significant event that is the root cause of your anxiety.  Once we identify the initial event we can address it so that it no longer affects you in the present.  Usually, once the initial trigger is dealt with the following ones lose their significance as well and you are able to feel calmer and more relaxed.  Those triggers that do not loss their significance will be dealt with directly in a similar fashion to the first.  There are also relatively simple techniques that I can teach you to help you reduce any future anxiety responses that you may encounter; preventing you from relapsing into the old anxious state.
