Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

What Is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT is a powerful tool for freeing emotional energy that we have consciously or subconsciously held in.  Gary Craig the developer of EFT defines it as:

". . . a powerful new discovery that combines two well established sciences so you can benefit from both at the same time:

  1. Mind Body Medicine
  2. Acupuncture (without needles).


In essence, EFT is an emotional version of acupuncture wherein we stimulate certain meridian points by tapping on them with our fingertips. This addresses a new cause for emotional issues (unbalanced energy meridians). Properly done, this frequently reduces the therapeutic process from months or years down to hours or minutes. And, since emotional stress can contribute to pain, disease and physical ailments, we often find that EFT provides astonishing physical relief."

While I have not found EFT to be a cure all, it is definitely a powerful tool that is easy to learn, easy to use, painless, and has a positive impact for most who use it.

How I Use EFT in My Work with Clients

EFT is a tool that you will mainly use on your own.  I can teach you the basic technique in just one 50 minute session and you will find that the more you use it, the more it will help you.
