My Background

My First Career

I received my B.S. in Business Management from Bentley College and spent five years working for a corporation doing customer service, sales, sales management and office management.  After leaving that company I received my MBA from Babson College and went on to start my own independent consulting firm where I specialized in Total Quality Management, Manufacturing Processes, Employee Empowerment and Business Development.  Although I was successful at what I was doing, I never felt I was doing work that was truly satisfying.  After two years of being on my own I closed my business to get a degree in Counseling Psychology.

My Training as a Mental Health Counselor

I received my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley College (now Lesley University) and have over eleven years of counseling experience.  After graduating I completed a year long post graduate training in Existential Psychoanalysis.  I have also participated in numerous professional trainings covering:

Becoming a Hypnotherapist

In 2008 I disovered the power and effectiveness of combining Hypnotherapy with Psychotherapy.  In January of 2009 I completed a Beginner through Advanced Course in Hypnotherapy and became certified by the National Board of Hypnosis.  I have been effectively incorporating hypnotherapy in my private practice since then.

I Have Worked As:

  • An Outreach Counselor working with teens and families involved with the Department of Social Services
  • A Counselor in three different Residential Substance Abuse programs
  • A Counselor in Westboro State Hospital working with the Chronically Mentally Ill
  • A Counselor in an Outpatient Clinic working with Inner City Adolescents, Families, and Couples.

I entered into private practice in May of 2004 where I continue to integrate my diverse experiences and trainings with a wide variety of clients.
